Tears of Sorrow that flow today
If we could see beyond today
As only God can see,
If all the clouds should roll away
And the shadows flee.
Our present grieves we would not fret
Each sorrow we would soon forget.
For many joys are waiting yet
Waiting for you and me.
If we could know beyond today
As only God does know.
Why dearest loved ones pass away
And tears must flow.
And why the darkness leads to light
Why dreary days will soon grow bright.
Some day life's wrong will be made right
Because our faith tells us so.
If we could see and if we could know
We often say.
But God in love, a veil does throw
Across our way.
We cannot see what lies before
And so we cling to Him more.
He leads us until our lives are o'er
God will protect us from shore to shore.
Beyond today
He is here when heartaches are in our life
He is here when troubles bring us strife.
He is here my friend for you to feel His touch
Reach out to Him. He loves you so much.
He is here to comfort and uplift
Look up to God my friend, He is our greatest gift.
