"A Treasured Friend"

God sent me a treasure

Of a far more lasting kind.

He sent me a loving, caring friend

"I knew you wouldn't mind!"

In my prayers for you today

I asked for happiness in all.

Things great and small.

You have been with me

Through sickness and in health.

You held my hand in silence,

To me it was the greatest wealth.

May God be with us my dear friend

At the start of every new day.

To guide us, lead us and love us

As God shows us the way.
