But to soon it would be all gone

I would buy you some expensive clothes

But too soon they would probably wear out

I would buy you a pretty ribbon for your hair

But that is not what Valentine's Day is about.

 

 

So what I will offer to each of you

Will last you your whole life through

And that is the promise of my friendship
